The knot that ties

I attended a wedding just now and I wonder if this the kind of wedding that I have wanted. Loud music, crowds in sarees and jewellery, gleaming in front of vibrant newlyweds. My cousin who was seating beside me couldn't stop admiring the bride and groom. Somehow I felt irritated by her behavior and not to mention I was slightly jealous of the big fat wedding that the couple could afford to have.

And then, I realized that I have always wanted to have a small wedding attended by few people who are close to my heart. I always believe that the money used to launch extravagant weddings can be used instead for traveling or to cater other needs the future might anticipates.

But that's just my thoughts..

However it also depends on how one want to remember their big day. Is that the luxuries wedding gown that you rented first came to your mind or the vow that you made to each other?

  3. I am definitely in favor of a smaller wedding as opposed to a big extravaganza. I think that with those large and extravagant weddings, the reason for the celebration is lost amidst the chaos. Weddings should be about the eternal uniting of two souls :)
